Why alpacas?
Alpacas make lovely pets and can be halter trained. They also produce a wonderful fibre which can be manufactured into jumpers, which make lovely items of clothing due to the soft nature of the wool.
Alpacas have a highly protective nature so when grazed with other livestock they will guard them against foxes. Gelded alpacas also make good companion animals for other livestock.
