Pygmy Goats
Pygmy goats originate from Africa, predominantly Nigeria and Cameroon, where they are kept for milk and meat. They were originally imported into the UK at the end of the 19th century as a zoo animal.
They are now very popular as pets.
The average pygmy goat stands between 16” and 23” tall (40-57cm) and weighs between 18-30kg (40 and 70lbs). This makes them small and easily handled.
