Borage bears beautiful blue flowers which are particularly good at attracting bees and other pollinating insects.

Borage (Borago officinalis), also known as Starflower, is an annual herb that remains in place from year to year by self seeding. It can grow up to a height of about a metre. The leaves and stems are covered in tiny hairs. Flowers are most often blue, but can have a pink tint and are, onย rare occasions, fully pink. There is also a white cultivar available. They form large floral displays with multiple flowers blooming simultaneously. The flowering season is between June – September in the UK.
