Fodder/Oil Radish

Fodder Radish helps to penetrate and break up compacted soils with its deep tap root.

Fodder Radish (Raphanus sativus), also called Oil Radish, is a plant commonly used for green manuring purposes. It is very quick growing and also produces a large amount of top growth. It germinates after 3-10 days, depending on soil temperature. It helps to draw up nutrients from deep in the subsoil due to its strong, deep rooting tap root.
