Description

Rough Stalked Meadowgrass (Poa trivialis) is a short to medium, somewhat coarse perennial grass that can vary in appearance depending on where it is growing. It spreads by solons and with a good supply of moisture, it will do very well. The seed heads are closed and green in moist conditions and open with a slight red hue in drier conditions. An adaptable species that grows well in wet ground such as pond edges and marshes. Also found in meadows, pastures and road verges.
