Saltmarsh Grass

Saltmarsh Grass is able to withstand periodic flooding and shallow water tables.

Saltmarsh Grass (Puccinellia distans), also known as Alkali Grass, is native to Europe and grows in moist habitats usually in areas with saline soils. Such areas include the edges of salted roads, sand dunes and other coastal areas. It grows up to 40-60cm and the flowering heads bear an array of several rough haired spikelets.
