Description

Produces a large amount of leafy foliage that adds good organic matter to the soil when dug improving the soil structure. Yellow Blossom Clover can thrive in the poorest of soils, the vigorous root system is good at collecting minerals like phosphorous as well as nitrogen. However, it can become aggressive and must be allowed to set seed otherwise it will become a problem. Yellow Sweet Blossom Clover performs best in higher calcium soils with a pH of 6.5 or higher, tolerating poorly drained and flooded soils. This green manure needs particular care so it does not stay when not needed but it does give good results when handled carefully.
